Robot Vacuum Mops hoover can vacuum and mop without needing your attention. It leaves your floors spotless. Its price is affordable and its high-end functions (such as dirt detectors) are both positives.
Check your robot's brushes frequently for tangled debris and hair. Wash them if needed. Certain models also automatically empty the dust bin on board and then deposit it in a larger bin at the bottom. This reduces the amount fine dust that gets released into the air.
1. Roomba Q5 Pro

The Q5 Pro, and its more expensive counterpart the Q7 Max Series are among the most powerful robotic vacuums we have tested. They feature motors that are top-of-the line and can suction up to 5,500 Pascals. And, like other premium iRobot models (including the top pick), they use intelligent mapping technology to create detailed floor plans and avoid common obstacles like cords and furniture legs. The robots also come with the feature of Carpet Boost that increases its power when it detects dirt on the carpet.
The Q5 and Q7 Max Series both scored very well in our tests on floors that were bare They are also adept at cleaning dog hair. However, they do have a few flaws, however, that prevent them from being our top option. One of the flaws of the Q5 is its navigation system doesn't feature AI-powered obstacles avoidance. It's therefore prone to get stuck on socks and shoes and could not navigate densely packed rooms very well in our tests. It also doesn't have a camera to see around corners.
It's still a good value, especially if your home or office has lots of unfinished flooring and you're looking to save money. Plus, it's very quiet and you can use it when you're at work or at school. The only thing it's missing that you don't get in the pricier iRobot Roomba X30 is edge-to-edge vacuuming on bare floors. It's also less effective in mopping. It is dependent on disposable wet wipes that don't adhere well and isn't able to handle dried-on debris. The Q5 is self-emptying cradle that can be emptied by itself. If you need to mop, the mopping pad can be replaced with one that is wet in just a few just a few seconds.
2. IRobot Roomba
The iRobot Roomba X30 packs impressive vacuuming and mopping capabilities into a sleek, compact package. Its nimble navigation and intelligent cleaning maps make it quick to clean and effective at tackling larger particles like pet hair. It also has a self-emptying bin as well as powerful suction, and support for virtual boundaries. It's the best robotic hoover for carpets, however it isn't as effective as some of its competitors when it comes to deep cleaning.
This high-performance vacuum and mop utilizes sensors to avoid obstacles and pet waste. It also learns the layout of your home over time to provide better cleaning. You can modify its cleaning schedule and set up zones through the well-designed app. It has a battery lifespan that is comparable to other models.
If the X30 Ultra is in a carpeted space, you can tell it to remove and extend its mop. This helps prevent cross-contamination. Its flex arm is also perfect for getting under furniture that is low and along baseboards. It doesn't offer the same washboard performance as our other Editors' Choice picks, the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo N8 Pro+ as well as the iRobot Combo j9+.
In the course of testing, X30 Ultra was the quickest robot vacuum/mop that could sweep the entire house and had 66 percent of its battery remaining. It did a decent cleaning job on different floors and rooms with different kinds of flooring, including certain area rug. Its obstacle detection was great, and it avoided fake dog turds, socks, shoes and bundles cables.
It's a little more expensive than iRobot Combo v9+ or iRobot Roomba j9+ but offers superior suction and an onboard bin that automatically empties into the base. It also supports voice commands through Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. It can even clean the floor after it vacuums, a feature that we haven't seen in other robot vacuum/mop combos.
3. iRobot Roomba X40
With a sleek circular design that looks like a regular Roomba than the competitors' boxes This robot vacuum and mop combo is among the most attractive looking models in our tests. iRobot's latest flagship model also happens to be its smartest model, with features that are cutting-edge like Enhanced Dirt Detection Technology as well as future compatibility with Matter (another company's robot that can autonomously wash mop pads).
It's the only robot vacuum/mop that scored 100% in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system, and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra is also the only robot we tested that is fully autonomously refill and empty its base station and it has an its own self-cleaning mop pads.
The X40, like other iRobot products, is easy to use. It comes with an intuitive mobile application interface and is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. The only drawback is that the X40 is still a loud unit. This could be a problem in the mornings before work or during the night when you're trying to fall asleep.
It's also a bit expensive, but it's not as expensive as the Ecovacs Omni or Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, both of which are equally capable and look better. If you're willing to put up some more volume and some additional cost it's a capable two-in-one that should delight most.
iRobot L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a top-of-the-range robot vacuum and mop with a lot of advanced features to help you forget about your chores. The L20 Ultra is a hands-free cleaning device that is similar to Ecovacs' top-of-the-range X2 Omni or Roborock's S8 Pro Ultra. It comes with a multi-function dock that will automatically empty the vacuum's bin and refills the water tank, as well as washes and drys mop pads.
The smart robot makes use of the combination of LIDAR and structured light to map out the floor plan and detect obstacles, and navigates more effectively than some of its premium competitors. It also comes with a front-mounted camera for real-time hazards detection however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a high suction maximum of 7,000 Pascals which is more than enough to finish the job. It also has an attribute known as "Intelligent Dirt Detection", that regulates the vacuum's power and adjusts the frequency of cleaning for different areas of the home based on how dirty those areas tend to be.
For larger homes it's recommended to choose models with zone or spot cleaning modes that allow you to instruct the robot to clean one specific area of your home via the app or via voice commands. If you have lots of furniture, a stair mode is also a good option. For families that are busy, a recharge feature and resume feature that allows your robot vacuum to resume where it left off could be very beneficial.
5. iRobot Roomba RX3
The RX3 is more intelligent than its price would suggest. It vacuums well and picked up 55% debris in our tests. (It was second to the Roomba Q5 Pro). It also mops with one pad that has an oscillating motion that cleans better than most of the other robot mop cleaners we've tried. It's also extremely self-sufficient, with a full-featured app and a self-emptying base that can be washed.
The iRobot application is designed to help you navigate an exercise in mapping that collects data on your floorplan, as well as any "no go" areas that you've marked on the map. It can be used to create cleaning schedules, or to organize an automatic spot-clean. You can also use it to prioritize the most soiled areas to improve performance. The app also provides access to a host of features, such as seasonal suggestions, custom maps, and advanced settings for your cleaning.
Its shape is more rectangular than other robot vacuums, which means it is able to reach corners and under furniture more easily. It also has strong suction of 8,000 Pascal suction and combs that are intelligent for pet hair. You can also create a spot-cleaner that thoroughly cleans an area.
The Miele Scout RX3 Home Vision HD is a more sleek more affordable alternative to iRobot Roomba. It's got a more attractive design, akin to Dolce & Gabbana. The twin cameras are shaped like cute eyes. It is great at vacuuming, but it's more likely to be stuck on low thresholds. It also has a higher noise than other top robot vacuums we've test. It also has a less intuitive app and a tiny base station that can't be used as a bin for emptying.
